Unbridled wonder caresses above in a haze of dashed hues and awe. A seraphic explosion of colour, unparalleled in quality, a worthy comparative for the second coming. A peregination of promiscuous force, a flawless spasm of interplanetary chaos echoes beyond the horizon to decimate Gods creation, a roisterous holocaust to span perpetuity.
We feel ethereal.
(and yeah, i wrote that ).

So here it is, collaboration number two between *alyn and *Naithin. After the tremendous reception of our first collaboration, we've decided to have a repeat performance, as both our confidences have grown following the success of our previous effort. This time, we've learned from mistakes in the previous, and we've produced something REALLY special that we both hope can live up to the first
Following the same style as before, it's another terragen render/space art mix. We're pretty much the first people to do this to this extent in deviantart as far as we know so claim to fame heh. I'l babble my way through the image now.
Same world file as the origin, lazy? maybe, probably no... i wanted a different perspective. I improved some areas of the terrain, added more depth, improved the sky in general, shaded it better, changed the lighting, and added more terrain. It turned out good IMO. I rendered 4 images, and adjusted in photoshop, adding one waterfall on the left, and one snowfall on the top of the mountain. Note: this is a snowfall, therefore it comes to an abrupt end and conveniently falls down a crevace The explosion on the left causes the snow to melt in this way, creating the falls. I was intending to make a cityscape in between the taller terrain pieces, however i couldn't adequately achieve this whilst conforming to the lighting, so i'm afraid that idea has been thrown out the window. You can interpret the fact that i've recycled a world-file as me being lazy, but i have made some extensive improvements to this, hence you can interpret as much as you like
Now naithin has done EXCEPTIONALLY well to do what he has with the image here, when he told me he wasn't going to extend vertically upwards by much i really hadn't a clue how he was going to manage this image... but he's done it AWESOMELY. The fact that my render had a high sun was a problem that he's gotten round amazingly well. After some brainstorming (thought showering to be PC) - i made the suggestion of turn the cloud into a nebula effect, which he's in turn executed seamlessly. The space scene is remarkable, the transition between the two elements (earth and sky) has been done extremely well in comparison with our previous, as the stars begin IN the terragen render this time, and the explosion on the left only helps this. The planets are better, the star fields are detailed, he really has outdone himself.
Again, we're both fairly nervous about submitting this considering the amount of positive exposure our first collab got, how could we live up to that? and naithin again seems a bit wary about how his space skills will be interpreted, but i hope we can prove him wrong once again.
So, Comments/fav's appreciated as always, Full view will increase viewing pleasure. If you want a print of this, please note *Naithin and i'm sure he'll release a print version at good price

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
